Best known for making women slobber on our television screens, U.K actor/DJ Idris Elba is now making moves on the music scene. Yes, we love looking at him but with the release of his single, Private Garden Remix, he gets the chance to tantalize our ear buds. The soulful single starts off with an ambient feel before it jumps into a soulful mix of drum beats and Elba's half singing mixed with a little spoken word before finally ending with a little hip hop in the mix. Produced by Philadelphia's TwizzMatic, the endearing lyrics, smooth flow, the fact that it is Idris singing gives this song much potential. There are very few songs that sound like this one which can be either a good or a bad thing.
Don't be mistaken into thinking that Elba is just playing around with music. He has actively been pursuing music for several years and is a pretty successful DJ both in the U.S. and the U.K. beginning in the late 1980's!
